"One blow can change everything": Canelo Alvarez prepares to peel against Yildirim.
The next fight of multi-timer Canelo Alvarez is only a few days away, so bets point out that Saúl Canelo Alvarez will take the win.
However, he indicates that he prepares day by day despite being better than his rival Avni Yildirim.
The match will be next Saturday, February 27, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, where he will seek to maintain his World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBC) super-middleweight titles.
Against the event, bets favor Canelo Alvarez, who last fought in December 2020 and defeated Callum Smith by unanimous decision. Meanwhile, Avni's outlook appears to be somewhat different; he was absent for two years.
In an interview with George Ebro, he said he is aware of what can happen above the ring, as "a blow can change," so he prepares day by day. He added that he does not deny favoritism towards him; however, he assured that Avni is a good boxer and can offer an "exciting" fight together.
"I'm not going to deny favoritism, but boxing is very complicated, and I think Yildirim will be a good rival. He's a good boxer, and I think we'll have an exciting fight for the fans who attend and for those who watch it on TV."
Boxer Saúl Alvarez also noted that he does not afford to underestimate his opponents even though he relies on his talent above the ring every time he confronts someone.
"I feel superior, and I'm superior to Yildirim, but I'm training like it's my biggest fight, and I'm not underestimating it. I know this is boxing, and a blow can change everything. It's not in me to underestimate someone."
For this reason, the Mexican claimed that he is in constant preparation and trains as if it were his "biggest fight."
